BMX New Zealand, Taranaki BMX Region and Hawera BMX Club are proud to host the 2026 BMX New Zealand North Island Titles, one of the biggest events on the New Zealand BMX racing calendar.
Taking place in Hawera from 23–25 October 2026, the North Island Titles will bring together riders from across New Zealand and Australia for a massive weekend of racing, with the coveted NI ranking plates on the line across the age groups.
From our youngest Challenge riders through to the 60+ classes, riders will battle it out for the right to carry an NI plate for the year ahead.
The North Island Titles also form part of the 2026 BMXNZ National Series and National Teams Series, adding another important dimension to the weekend for riders, clubs and regions chasing season honours.
Mighty 11s – New Zealand vs Australia 🇳🇿 🇦🇺
Adding to the atmosphere will be the return of the Mighty 11s Trans-Tasman Test Team Series, with Australia travelling across the Tasman for the New Zealand leg of this historic BMX rivalry.
The fastest 11-year-old boys and girls from New Zealand and Australia will go head-to-head in team racing across the weekend, representing their countries and continuing a Trans-Tasman tradition that has been part of BMX in New Zealand and Australia for decades.
Expect close racing, plenty of national pride and some serious noise from the sidelines when the Mighty 11s hit the track.
